NOTES
If you want to install an IP Phone as a Userless Device (service level IP Device Only) that can be logged into and utilized by Hot Desk Users, you can follow the simplified installation and auto-provisioning procedure. See Registering and Auto-provisioning Multiline IP Telephones without a DN.
If you want to program a MiVoice IP Phone with a static IP address, refer to the Technician's Handbook.
The MiVoice Business Virtual, and MiVoice Business for Industry Standard Server do not support the 5140 IP Phone, or 5240 IP Phone.
Ensure the DHCP Server has been programmed.
Ensure that the IP user licenses are entered in the License and Option Selection form.
Ensure that IP Telephone Set Registration access codes, Set Replacement Access Codes, and Set Registration Security codes are specified in the System Options form.
Ensure that Class of Service, Interconnect Restriction, and Intercept Handling is programmed for each device.
NOTE: The following devices must have a Class of Service that has the HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed and the HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed options enabled.

To program Multiline IP telephones:

IP Sets form
Complete the following fields: Hot Desk User, Device Type, Auxiliary Module, Prime Directory Number, User PIN fields (if Hot Desk User), External Hot Desk fields (if required), ACD Enabled, Interconnect Number, Maximum Call History Records, MAC address (optional), Tenant Number, and Lock Default Configuration.

Set Keys form
Assign a directory number (line appearance) or feature to each key.
Assign each line appearance a ring type.
(Optional) Multiline
Appearance Groups form
Change the ring type at each telephone where this number appears.
Change the group type from "key system" to "multicall" or vice versa.
(Optional) Default
Account Codes form
Create a default account code number that will appear in all SMDR records for the station.
Station
Attributes form
Assign a Class of Service, Class of Restriction, and Intercept Number to the directory number of the telephone.
(Optional) Assign a Default Account Code Index number.
Use the User and Services Configuration search field to locate the prime directory number that you assigned to the device. Assign a name, department, and location to the directory number.
LDAP
Client Configuration (69xx IP Phones only; optional)
Create an LDAP Client profile for 69xx IP Phones to use to populate its Phone Book application with user data from an internal or external LDAP server.
System
Options (69xx IP Phones only; optional)
Enter the profile ID from the previous step into the LDAP Client Configuration Profile ID field.
Online
Service URLs (69xx IP Phones
(excluding 6905 and 6910); optional)
Enter URLs the external server(s) where 69xx IP Phones can go to get screen savers, branding applications and other resources. Skip this step and go to the next if these resources are hosted on the MiVoice Business system.
Phone
Applications Update (53xx and 69xx IP Phones only; optional)
Upload screen saver, branding, and other applications for distribution to supported 53xx and 69xxx IP phones.
(Optional) Register the IP telephone.
This step is required only if the MAC address was not programmed in the Multiline IP Sets form.
NOTE: If you delete telephones, you must also delete the corresponding directory entries and voice mailboxes.
